For over three decades, Jaap's Testing Station has been the leading vehicle roadworthy testing center in Rustenburg, South Africa. How We Got Here

​

The founder of  Jaap’s toets stasie,   JC Wessels ,  “Oom Jaap” was working at the SABS as part of a team developing the standards for vehicle testing stations.

In 1995 he decided to open his own testing station in Rustenburg North West. Together with his wife Louise Wessels and son Kallie Wessels they started Jaap’s toets stasie.  They bought the premises from Magalies plumbers and converted it in to a testing stasion.

On 6 June 1995 we tested our first vehicle, it was a blue Nissan Caball  truck.  We have been growing steadily since.
